Are Training Monitoring Tools measuring or just guessing?
Training monitoring tools such as GPS trackers, accelerometers, heart rate measuring tools, etc. have undergone an enormous development in recent years. They are now commonly used In many sports, from professional soccer, American football, and basketball to rowing, cycling, and distance running. Coaches rely on Information from these systems for real time training control and/or for evaluating daily/weekly load of Individual athletes and teams.
Training feedback and monitoring is crucial for efficient performance development and injury prevention. But how reliable are these systems and how well does the practical implementation in everyday training work?
Our new ONLINETALK format offers you insights into this topic from both the scientific and the practical side. World class sports scientists and coaches critically discuss the current level of knowledge in science, the practical usability in everyday training, the reliability of the method or system, the alternatives and future expectations. They will openly share their expertise and personal experience with you.
The ONLINETALK splits up in three 90-minute slots and a 60-minute Q&A session with all three speakers. You can ask questions during the whole talk and we are looking forward to some awesome discussions between the experts at the end.
