HAMSTRING WORKSHOP – 3-DAY MASTERCLASS
SPEAKER: JOHAN LAHTI, PATRICK KASZTNER & ANDREAS KLIMA
This 3-day intensive course offers the most comprehensive and evidence-based approach to hamstring injury management, rehabilitation, and performance optimization available. Combining clinical expertise with cutting-edge sports science, this combo ticket gives you access to three full days of theory, practical application, and hands-on learning – designed for practitioners who want to truly master the hamstring.
DAY 1 – REHAB DAY Patrick Kasztner, PT, BSc. & Andreas Klima, PT, BSc.
Topic: Comprehensive Hamstring Injury Management – From Diagnosis to Rehabilitation
Day 1 provides a complete framework for understanding and managing hamstring injuries, with a focus on the unique anatomical differences of the hamstring muscles. You will gain a detailed overview of muscle injury classification, including grading and clinical diagnosis using manual assessments as well as cutting-edge technology such as dynamometry, ForceFrame, and force plates.
Explore the latest evidence-based treatment protocols and algorithms, including a critical analysis of current practices, their limitations, and future directions for more effective care. Rehabilitation strategies are tailored to specific injury classifications, with a clear differentiation between hip-dominant and knee-dominant exercises across the key rehabilitation phases.
The day concludes with hands-on group activities, where participants structure and develop comprehensive rehabilitation and treatment plans based on real-life examples – followed by a recap and open Q&A session.
DAY 2 – HAMSTRING WORKSHOP LEVEL 1: FOUNDATIONS Johan Lahti, PhD, CSCS
Day 2 shifts the focus towards the scientific foundations of hamstring function and training. You will explore functional anatomy, range of motion, and strength training across different velocity demands – building a clear and structured framework for hamstring training and injury risk reduction.
Theory is combined with practical applications and testing methods, giving you the tools to immediately implement what you learn into your daily coaching and rehabilitation practice.
DAY 3 – HAMSTRING WORKSHOP LEVEL 2: PERFORMANCE & PROFILING Johan Lahti, PhD, CSCS
On Day 3, the focus moves towards sprint performance and individualized athlete profiling. Topics include sprint mechanics, lumbopelvic control, and live sprint profiling – with a step-by-step breakdown of sprint technique analysis.
You will learn how to link movement patterns with mechanical and strength metrics, enabling more precise and individualized training decisions for your athletes. This day bridges the gap between laboratory science and real-world performance, equipping you with a practical profiling system you can apply immediately.
