Power, yes, that’s crucial, but not everything!
Speed is a performance-determining factor in almost every sport. Physiologically, the resulting speed of movement is made up of power, control and coordination. Depending on the relationship between the parameters, trainers try to select the optimal exercises. The selection of different training equipment is enormous and you can see the most creative sprint, throw and jump forms. But do top coaches now choose the exercises on the basis of tests, measurement data or the „trained coach’s eye“? And what does science actually say about it?
Our new ONLINETALK format offers you insights into this topic from both the scientific and the practical side. World class sports scientists and coaches are talking about the current level of knowledge in science, the practical usability in everyday training, the reliability of the method or system, the alternatives and future expectations. They will share their expertise and personal experience with you.
The ONLINETALK splits up in three 90-minute slots and a 60-minute Q&A session with all three speakers. You can ask questions during the whole talk and we are looking forward to some awesome discussions between the experts at the end.
